Cliff Cave, Missouri Portrait
2020, print on canvas, foam, sand from Cliff Cave County Park, Missouri, 42 x 4 x 26”
This print reveals a positive and negative relationship of a landscape as a portrait. Using 3D scanning technology, the positive space is seen de- saturated, and the negative space is shown in color. It is not a reflection of the landscape but shows the negative space of the landscape as positive space. The sky is used as a positive space/ background and the canvas is rested on a shelf that ground the piece to its original location. The shelf is coated in sand from each location.

2019, Moss and mixed media, 4 x 3 x 5'
Continuing on this consciousness, the solid nature of the larger rock is taken and is viewed in a hollow context. There’s a shift in the stream using 3D scanning technology. The terrain and forms reveal a different type of erosion and perception of the confluence area.
